Black Star Records is Our New Stockist

We are thrilled to announce that Black Star Records is our new stockist! Black Star Records launched in Lockdown October 2020, and is located in Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

“We always knew how important art is. We however believe that they became more vital during these testing times over the last two years. The importance of investing in our own wellbeing and the need to reconnect with music and art magnified through lockdown.

It was shocking how quickly the negative impact of the lockdown affected the music industry. But ironically, we, the consumer, seemed to reconnect with the things we have loved and used to collect. The Vinyl revival boom was supercharged in this period.  Black Star Records was born. To reconnect this amazing group of artists with a new and enthused group of vinyl collectors.

Black star records were launched as an online community that supports people in collecting and reconnecting with the analogue experience. Simple as that. But with a twist. Black Star Records think we can do better together.

We take great pride that Vinyl sales help the artists and more importantly emerging artists more directly than the streaming platforms. We also work hard to make sure that we are the best priced New Release records in the UK. Beating the online giants. As a club we also guarantee the indie only versions of the vinyl (We all love our coloured Vinyl). Then we support the community to connect directly – writing blogs, reviews and through 2022/ 23 to start attending gigs together and sharing in live music.

The most exciting thing about the club though – when we get to 1500 members (we are at 800 already) – the club will turn into a crowdfunding platform. Where we will invite emerging and unsigned artists to come and meet the virtual community. Share what they do. Then we can invest directly into the artists to support them on their journey. That might be an initial self release, funding merch or planning a tour by ensuring a certain amount of tickets are sold.

We don’t want to be a record label. But we do want to be an analogue community of digital supporters; using our love and passion for collecting music and vinyl. Encouraging and supporting positive outcomes for a wider community. We hope you all logon and become black star members. Together we really can make brilliant changes.”

Go visit their store if you’re in the area, or check out their website for more information and support!
